Håndteringen af BibTeX data sker i jura-monografi via pakken jurabib.

Jurabib kommer som standard med filen jurabib.bst, som med enkelte ændringer er videreført i jura-monografi.bst.

Der er blandt andet tale om følgende ændringer:

Fornavne vises i teksten.
Sortering i rækkefølgen forfatter (-e), år, titel i bibliografi.
Brug af komma i bibliografien.
Brug af m.fl. / et al.
Rækkefølge af address publisher year i bibliografien.

jura-monografi.bst kan downloades fra siden Jura-monografi.Licens.

Fornavne vises i teksten.

Med jurabib.bst angives, som udgangpunkt, kun efternavne for forfatterne, medmindre shortauthor sættes. Tilsvarende angives kun efternavne for redaktører. Dette er ændret i jura-monografi.bst ved at tilpasse funktionerne {format.lab.names} for forfattere / {format.editor.lab.names} for redaktører. Ændringen virker ikke for kilder, hvor shortauthor er sat.

Brug af komma i bibliografien.

Da adskillelsen i bibliografien sker med komma, kan det forekomme, at der skal sættes komma efter punkttegn (? ! . etc.) i titler. Dette forhindres som udgangspunkt af jurabib.bst, hvorfor det er nødvendigt med en ændring i FUNCTION {check.punct.instead.of.add.period} Ved ændringen tilføjes det oprindelige tegn '+', hvorfor betingelsen ikke opfyldes og \bibatsep (konkret sat til ',') altid sættes.

Brug af m.fl. / et al.

Er der flere end tre forfattere eller redaktører angiver jurabib.bst kun den først med tilføjelsen m.fl. Brug af "m.fl." fremfor "et al" er fastsat i jura-monografi.sty med følgende deklaration:

I angivelser i 'teksten svarer dette til normal brug. I bibliografier bruges det dog typisk at angive samtlige forfattere m.v. Derfor er jura-monografi.bib ændret, så samtlige forfattere og redaktører angives.

Rækkefølge af address publisher year i bibliografien.

Med jurabib.bst angives oplysninger i rækkefølgen publisher adress year. Dette er ændret til publisher address year.
